Invitation to Annual General Meeting and Reception
The Trustees of the Jubilee Gardens Trust would like to invite representatives of South Bank and Waterloo businesses to our Annual General Meeting and reception from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday 15 July in the St Paul’s Pavilion, Royal Festival Hall.
The Jubilee Gardens Trust is a company and registered charity with Trustees appointed from three groups of members of the company, namely
- Local businesses and social enterprises
- Immediately neighbouring landowners: Shell, Southbank Centre and the London Eye
- South Bank and Waterloo organisations representing residents
The TruSt has been managing the new Jubilee Gardens for two years since it opened to the public in time for the Diamond Jubilee weekend in 2012. It is probably the most intensively used green open space in London and we are proud of the high standard of management and maintenance which has been achieved.
The area continues to attract an increasing number of visitors and we are keen to involve local businesses as friends and supporters. We hope more local companies might wish to participate, as a member of the Trust or in some other way.
The membership subscription for companies and social enterprises is a nominal £25 pa. The event on Tuesday 15 July, combined with the Trust’s Annual General Meeting, will be an opportunity to talk to Trustees and to learn more about the Trust’s operations and the challenges it faces, but also to develop ideas for local business involvement in this prime local asset. Though the Trust is keen to look at all ways of securing support for its activities, this is not a fundraising event.
